William E. DeLamater has served in many capacities during his twenty-three year career in independent schools, including stints at the Kingswood-Oxford School (CT), at the Nichols School (NY), as Head of the Miquon School (PA), and as Head of the Upper School at Colorado Academy (CO). He recently stepped down as Head of School at Alexandria Country Day School (VA) to take the position of School Division Manager at Recorded Books, the world’s leading publisher of audiobooks. Will’s recent technology projects have included development of the Technology Demonstration Classroom at Alexandria Country Day, establishment (with Sherry Ward) of the Independent School Technology Letter, and the design and development of FieldQuestLive, an interactive distance learning project for middle schoolers. Will has served as presenter at the NAIS and VAIS annual conferences, and at the Kentucky Educational Technology Conference (March 1999) and the National Educational Computing Conference (June 2000). Will founded SchoolAdmin.com in 1996.

Sherilyn A. Ward is the Director of Technology at Alexandria Country Day School in Virginia. In her nearly twenty-year career as elementary school teacher and music teacher, Sherry has taught across the K-8 continuum and has served as a division coordinator. Winner of the 1998 Leadership in Teaching Award at Alexandria Country Day, Sherry presented at the Annual Conference of the Virginia Association of Independent Schools on classroom networking and the integration of technology into the Technology Demonstration Classroom. Sherry has also presented at the Kentucky Educational Technology Conference (March 2000), at the Midwest and Pennsylvania Educational Technology Conferences (2002), and at the National Education Computing Conference (June 2000, 2001, and 2004). Sherry serves as the Virginia Council for Private Education representative to the Virginia Educational Technology Advisory Committee and is on the executive board of that committee.
