Privacy Policy
We respects each individual’s right to personal privacy. Data collected and stored by SchoolAdmin through any SchoolAdmin products (the “SchoolAdmin Site”) on behalf of a SchoolAdmin client (the “Institution”) is governed by the Institution’s privacy policy. This data will not be used by us in any manner not approved by the Institution unless required by law (for example, a court order or subpoena). Access to the data shall be restricted to authorized associates and shall be used only for the purpose of providing service to you or the Institution. SchoolAdmin maintains physical, procedural, and electronic safeguards to protect data from being accessed by unauthorized third parties.
Information Collection
In addition to information collected on behalf of your Institution, the following pieces of information may be collected when you visit, register with, or use any SchoolAdmin Sites:
- We will ask for personal information when you become a registered user of a SchoolAdmin Site, including name and email address. Registered users may receive email notifications based on their use of the SchoolAdmin Site. Registered users may update or modify their own personal information.
- In the course of using our site, we automatically track certain information about you. This information includes what type of browser you are using. This information is used for system administration and improving our services, and does not identify you personally.
- We also track your IP address. This does not identify you personally, but it will let us identify the device you’re using and we store IP addresses in case we need to track a connection for security purposes.
Cookies
SchoolAdmin Sites use cookies in several applications for navigational purposes. A cookie is a small text file which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies make your Internet experience quicker and more convenient. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, but some parts of the SchoolAdmin Sites may not work properly if you do. Accepting a cookie from a SchoolAdmin Site does not give SchoolAdmin access to any of your personally identifiable information.
Third Parties
Please note that this privacy policy applies only to the SchoolAdmin Site, SchoolAdmin, and its employees and consultants, and does not automatically apply to other sites to which we link. This privacy policy also does not apply to the portions of the Institution’s website not hosted or managed by SchoolAdmin. It is SchoolAdmin’s corporate policy to require that the organizations to which we transmit your personal information agree to comply with our privacy policy. However, we cannot guarantee or be responsible for the performance of third parties.
Please note that when you shop with a vendor who is linked to SchoolAdmin, or who is linked to from SchoolAdmin, even though you may have started your visit at a Company Site, and even though Company pages may still appear, your transactions are completed with a separate organization, not with us. We don’t share your personally identifiable information with them, but information you choose to share with them will fall under their privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We carefully select other organizations in an effort to give you the value and excellent customer service you expect from us.
